Soon, after, I gained the confidence to talk about my business with others. I had the confidence that although people in my life may not 'get it', I was not alone in my business. The response from people was amazing. I was talking with confidence about what I was doing, and they were responding to me. People may not have signed up, but they took my work as a legitimate business that could be successful.

Being in a home business does not have to be a solitary venture. Reach out to the many people who are building their dreams too. Through the forums, you will find like minded people who can help you stay focused, give you ideas, and motivate you when you feel like you are alone.

The other day I was reading a book with my niece called 'Cars and Trucks and Things that Go' which has a find Goldbug game within the story. You know the ones where there are all these scenes on the page and hidden in there somewhere is a gold bug. As we were searching I had a thought about how this was what my life was.

I go onto the Internet and do a search for a home Internet business and I'm bombarded with data. There are so many choices, that you need to look at, through and around that it all becomes a big mess of information. Which ones are scams, which ones are legit. What niche do I want to look at. It is the never ending search for Goldbug. You end up reading a ton of information, and feel more confused than ever.

Then I had that day with my niece. She's six years old. As I am trying to look at the entire page and soak in all of the content, she is placing her finger on each item and going, 'No, not there.', then moving on to the next car. I watched her as she found each Goldbug and realized there was a lesson here.

Instead of trying to get all of the information in a day, or in my case an hour. Look at each home business, evaluate whether it meets your needs, and what type of training it has. If it is a maybe, put it to one side. Then look at another one. When you get to three or four, compare them to each other and pick the one you like the best. Repeat the process and you will get to the point where you not only have a list of potential home business ideas, but you will have a better understanding of your needs and desires.

It takes time to find what you are looking for in a business, but if you go in a methodical way, you can also find the Goldbug.

Look at what others have done. The beauty of the Internet is it is full of tips and advice if you know where to look. Find a forum, there are a lot of people who are more than willing to help you with your business as long as you ask. You can find out how to write an Ad, and free (yes, I said free) places to put them.

Fourth, you need to write an article? Wait, not one but several a week! WHAT! How in the world do you write an article when you are barely keeping your head out of water? Plus, what do you say? You can just keep up with that blog thing let alone have more writing to do. Well, guess what, your article can come from your blog. Look at what you say there and expand if you need to, but generally your ideas, thoughts, feelings can all be put into an article that has meaning.

Anew business can be intimidating, but if you write out a plan of what you need to do and a schedule for each thing. You will quickly find out it is not that hard. Follow your plan, ask for help, and slowly it all comes together in a very nice, and profitable business from your home.

In the past week I've been contemplating the idea of visualizing your future. Not asking yourself where you want to be with your Home Business, but actually seeing yourself as a successful business owner. It may seem like simple semantics but it isn't there is a world of difference between the two.

When you ask yourself where you want to be, you are looking at the future, but you are not there. Instead, see your business as a success already. Put the Affiliate cheque into your hands and going to the bank to deposit it. I have been working on an exercise lately.

Each time I go to the mail I see cheques (You know the stack they show you in promotional pages). I have those each day, my name, my address, my cheque! I open the mail box and they are there, non stop, and consistently.

People will call this daydreaming, I call it aligning the universe into what I deserve. It is a powerful tool, that will help you, especially on those days of frustration. If you feel yourself overwhelmed by the day to day running of your work from home business, take a break, and visualize. Find yourself where you deserve to be.

A simple exercise that gives you passion will be a powerful tool in building your business.

Do these things require money? Yes, they do. Money though, is secondary, it is a biproduct that I need inorder to have the time and freedom that I desire.
This is an important part of your business. I think one of the keys to success. Make it about more than money and if you sit down and make a list of what you want you will probably find that it is for you too.
