The Internet has become a great way for people to make some money, but far too often they jump into it and have no idea of what they are doing or why they are doing it, then blame the Internet for their failure. It is evident when you to do some research and find so many people talking about one scam or another. Yet, if you look into it further you will find that there are a lot of successful people involved in these same companies.
It is very easy for people to publicly blame a company for their own failures on the Internet. It doesn't mean there are no scams, there are, but don't believe everything you read. Do your research to determine if it is the company that failed or if it is the person.
What is the difference between the blamers and the succeeders? Why can some people make a lot of money, but so many others make nothing? A lot of it comes down to three simple things.
1) Have a plan. So many people have the 'employee' mentality that they want someone else to make the plans for them. If you were to say 'I'm going to go on holidays', but then didn't plan anything, the chances are you won't be going. if you did just leave, you would probably find yourself spending all of your time looking for transportation or lodging, rather than having a holiday.
Running a business is the same. If you start a business without a plan, you are setting yourself up to be spending all of your time searching rather than getting work done. If you are in a position that you don't know what to do - as many new people are - get help.
2) Find a coach or mentor. It is surprising that people consider having a business coach or personal coach is a sign of weakness, but some of the biggest stars in our society have coaches. A professional athlete spends their entire career being coached, they have skills yet they still have a person who guides them. Business is no different.
Having a person or persons that can give you help and guidance is very important to success. It does not mean you have to pay them it is amazing how many people are willing to help for free, you just need to ask. It also doesn't guarantee success.
3) Work ethic. Starting an online business requires work. Success is not guaranteed just because you put up a website. You will need to put in time and/or money. The great thing about the Internet is you can start with little or no money. But it is also one of the reasons so many people fail.
If you were to invest $20 000 into a business, you would put in a lot of work to make it successful. But when you can start a business for nothing or next to nothing, many people don't put in the effort to see it succeed. We are a monetary world, the more something is worth the more effort people will put into it.
If you treat an online business like you invested a lot of money into it, you will have a better chance of taking it seriously. Make the commitment to be successful, and put in the work to make it happen.
There are scams on the Internet, just like everywhere, but failure is not always because it was a scam. People fail because they are not treating their business as a business. Create a plan; find a coach or mentor; and work as hard for yourself as you do for other people. You will drastically increase your chances of success and make money on the Internet.
