When looking for a mentor find someone you trust, who will be honest with you, and is more concerned with your success that with selling you their products. They are not at your beck and call, but they should have a time or place that you can contact them with problems or concerns.
Your role in the relationship is to listen and impliment their suggestions. Put your pride aside, they are not personally attacking you, they are trying to help you put your business in the profit margin. Be willing to work, they are not your servant. Ask questions constantly. If your mentor does not know where you need help, they can not give you any suggestions.
Mentorship is a fantastic way to improve your business. It gives you the ability to ask questions and get guidance to ensure your success.
