Real Estate has always been a strong investment choice. In our present world economy though the days of the 'quick flip' for profit are over. Lending institutions are extremely leery of investing in these properties as the risk is significantly higher than a long term investment property. There have also been a tightening of purchaser requirements, where many lenders are looking for 25% down payments, so your investment is significantly higher than in years past. There are still opportunities that require less money down, but they are becoming harder and harder to find. Once again for the novice, real estate may not be your first choice. Making money on the Internet has many aspects to it that are appealing.
